Our generation is depressed because we were born in a world of knowledge, and we have knowledge of the fact that were basically being fucked up our own asses. Our generation has to deal with a dying planet and a dying social structure. We don’t have parents who can take care of us, or food with the proper nourishment. We’ve had advertisements, fast food, and big businesses dicks down our throats for our entire existence! All our parents are divorced or drunk, all our schools are filled with violence and a failing educational system that barely educates in the first place. When were not trying to get homework done, studying, filling out college apps, working part time jobs, were glued to our fucking TV’s because were so exhausted and drained from the latter! We don’t have a vibrant culture or amazing new things to experience. We need something, we look it up on fucking wikipedia and then go on with our day. Like fuck, do you know how rare it is to actually find a teenager with a damn hobby? If our generation is gonna go down in history for anything, it’s gonna be for shit music, unoriginality, and boredom. Were not truly guided by any one. No one is giving us the proper life tools other than “Do good in school and buy this brand of jeans”. The worst part is a lot of us know what’s going on, but we just can’t do anything about it. That’s the heart of the matter.

There’s no fear of the unknown, there’s no new things to experience because we’ve already been told everything we need to know by watching the goddamn MTV news. We don’t have role models, we don’t have substance, we don’t even have both our parents half the fucking time. We can’t think, we can’t create, we can’t even be ourselves because of fear of persecution. “If it doesn’t fit into the narrow ideals of the education system and work force it has no place in society” which is essentially what you’re telling us and that’s basically saying WE don’t fit in. When were not being told were too fat, too tall, too short, too thin, too outgoing, too shy, too dark or even too happy were told by YOUR generation that were not good enough. Were judged, berated, humiliated, undermined, and just plain patronized.
OUR GENERATION IS DEPRESSED BECAUSE WERE TOO TIRED OF TRYING TO FIT INTO A WORLD CREATED BY THE GENERATION BEFORE US!
And we are fucking DONE trying to “fit in”.

That’s some flat out bullshit. You think you’re the first fucking generation to have issues and realize there is something wrong. Are you insane? You obviously aren’t as smart as you think you are. Really your parents don’t take care of you? Sorry they aren’t rich enough to afford all your concert tickets and iphones. The people in 50s and 60s and 70s all new there was shit wrong with the world, the planet, society, and most of them DID SOMETHING ABOUT IT. They didn’t sit around whining about shit acting like there is nothing left to live for. There have been things wrong with out planet and parents and the world in fucking general for YEARS AND YEARS AND YEARS and all you can do is make the best out of it. All you can do is ACCEPT the world as it is, and if you don’t like it, then you ATTEMPT to change it. What you can’t change, you make the best of, and try to live a happy life. This generation has reason to be depressed, just like pretty much every generation that came before it. You are not special. No one is special. The world progresses and when the next generation comes along, acting all bitch ass whiny like this generation, you’re going to do the SAME FUCKING THING THE GENERATION BEFORE YOU DID….laugh. Just like I do. I think of my generation and “how bad we had it” and then I look at this generation and I laugh while thinking “If they only fucking knew…” Shit is hard. Shit is never easy. But buck the fuck up. I’m sick of this current generation of teenagers acting like they are the only ones who ever had it bad. Every generation had it bad in some way or another. Some things get better, some things get worse. Some things we can change, some things we can’t. You think there is nothing left to fucking learn or experience? Really? That’s what they said like fucking 500 years ago. You don’t think shit is going to keep changing? Like this is it? This is all there will ever be? Nothing new will ever happen? That’s a crock of shit. And even IF by some INSANE chance that IS TRUE, then WHO CARES? Just live your fucking life. Find something that makes you happy. And if NOTHING makes you happy then yeah there is something wrong with you. There has always been shitty music and unoriginal people in the world.
Why is this generation so depressed? Because they are just like every other fucking person to ever fucking exist on this fucking planet. They think they are special and different and the first and the revolution and yada yada yada. But really…you’re just another generation. Like the ones before you. We have our greedy assholes and we have our peace lovers and we have our idiot neighbors and we have our underground indie kids. They are in EVERY generation. You were not the first. And you will not be the last. But that’s okay. Because in time you’ll see. Just wait around for the next generation to come along…Teenagers are going to be teenagers. Angsty and depressed. But don’t act like you’re the only generation to suffer.
Yes, we might have an abundance of knowledge and kids these days do in fact lack freaking hobbies…but that is how the world is. Instead of focusing on the negative, try and turn it into a positive. You bitch because of these unlimited fucking resources we have, then say its a bad thing? Then say you can’t do anything to change the world? We have an abundance of knowledge at our hands and yet you get mad that UNDERPAID teachers who are ALSO probably fed up aren’t teaching you the right shit? Well maybe you should take this ABUNDANCE OF KNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE ACCESS TO AND TEACH YOURSELF SOMETHING. You think my education in the last generation was any better? Any easier? Half the shit I know I had to learn on my own WITHOUT THE ABUNDANCE OF KNOWLEDGE THAT YOU PEOPLE ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE ACCESS TO ON THE INTERNET. I didn’t have that. I didn’t have that! I had to scrape and crawl and burn for the fucking shit I know. No one taught me shit! And I didn’t have ipads and cell phones and even a computer with wikipedia. You are LUCKY that you have the resources you have. PEOPLE HAVE DONE TWICE AS MUCH WITH 10 TIMES LESS. There is still much to fear, and much to accomplish.
